Let me introduce myself

Hi,

My name is Peggy Gaffney and I create portraits of dogs in knitting. I have published a series of knitting books for dog lovers. Each book in the Crafty Dog Knits series from Kanine Knits Books, takes one breed, tells all about the breed and the wonderful things they do and then I create charted knitting designs showing the dogs performing all of these activities. These charts (25 per book) can then be knit into the patterns for sweaters, hats, scarves, afghans, pillows, etc. included in the book. These are sized from infant to men's 2X.
The books that are available to date in the series cover the breeds: Samoyeds (my breed), Labradors, Goldens, Bernese Mt. Dogs, Newfoundlands and the book for the Welsh Corgis both Pembroke and Cardigan will be coming out on June 10.
The next book in the series will be for those knitters who love Poodles. It should be out later this summer if I can get enough photos of Poodles from fanciers to illustrate all the activities such as breed, obedience, agility, field work, water work, search and rescue, therapy as well as pictures of them just being puppies, pets, and best friends. Many dog lovers have sent me photos in the past and have had their dog illustrating the breed at work in the books. I would love to hear from any of you who would like to see your Poodle represent the breed at work. Credit is given to those whose photos are included in the book.
In the meantime, please visit the Kanine Knits website and see the wonderful books and patterns.
